Accessing and updating your personal information

At any time you may request access to personal information that we hold about you. In some cases an administration fee may be charged for locating and retrieving such information.  If it is no longer accurate, we will update it with current information provided by you.

In certain circumstances we may be permitted by law to deny you access to your personal information.  If this occurs, we will always provide our reasons for doing so.


Security of personal information

We take reasonable steps to protect all of the personal information we hold from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This protection applies in relation to information stored in both electronic and hard copy form.

When we no longer need to hold your personal information, it will be securely destroyed or removed.  This usually occurs seven years after the completion of your matter.
